AS usual we intend all our conferences to deal with topical up to the minute issues of concern to CCTV Managers
Tony Porter QPM LLB - The Surveillance Camera Commissioner - Regulation, the Code and Standards, how they will affect your system and the progress in developing Standards and Privacy Impact Assessment.
Kishor Mistry - Home Office - Both will also be participating in the Workshops
Jonathan Bamford - Information Commissioners Office. Jonathan will address the issues in the recent updated Code of Practice and his work in conjunction with the SCC including Privacy Impact Assessments, standards and give specific advice in developing areas from drones and body worn video to household use of CCTV which is now clearly covered by the DPA as a result of a recent Court of Justice of the European Union case.
DCI Mick Neville - Mick is another popular speaker at our events
He will talk about the EU project "LASIE" & CCTV and "Face Snap"...our latest tactic to identify the same offender captured on CCTV for multiple offences, their approach to colour matching and a general update on all their successes!
AND MUCH, MUCH MORE, YOU REALLY CAN'T AFFORD TO MISS IT!
Chris Harrison - North Somerset Council - A 'practical' approach to how they deliver their service and many of the things they've done at North Somerset could easily be introduced nationally. A 'Scrutiny' processwas carried out interviewing everyone they do business with, (police, town councils, town centre managers, council departments, social housing landlords etc) and they had to prove their value to the authority.
Peter Webster and Matt Wood - Slough Borough Council and Tellmachus - jointly present a case study of how Peter met Tellemachus; the work they have done together this past year and then onto need for CCTV Centre network security (using Slough as a case study ). Not only because of their impressive security credentials working in the Counter Terrorism arena already but also evidenced by the work that they have been doing.
With many new managers new to the responsibility for CCTV there will also be more emphasis on some of the basic responsibilities and legislation involved, with help and mentoring opportunities from experienced managers
